Doppleganghair
Doppleganghair, written by Owen Danoff, is an absurd comedy about the horrors of early-onset male pattern baldness—literally. When a young man starts losing his hair, his spiraling neurosis manifests into something far worse: a monstrous, sentient hair creature that torments him at every turn. As he battles self-doubt, societal pressure, and an ever-growing follicular nightmare, he must face the ultimate question—does his hair define him, or is he finally ready to let it go? Equal parts psychological horror and laugh-out-loud absurdity, Doppleganghair is a hilariously unhinged look at vanity, identity, and the terror of a receding hairline.
Currently in development, Doppleganghair is set to begin production in New York City in the summer of 2025. With its unique blend of surreal comedy and existential dread, the film promises to bring a fresh, twisted take on the body horror genre—one hair at a time.
